About IIIT Surat
The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Surat got established in 2017 under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model. The institute is a joint venture between Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Government of Gujarat, and industry partners namely Gujarat Narmada Fertilizer Corporation (GNFC), Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL), and Gujarat Gas Limited (GAL). IIIT Surat operates under the mentorship of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT Surat).
IIIT Surat follows the motto that “Knowledge and Hard Work are always revered”.
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Surat presently functions from its transit campus at SVNIT. SVNIT campus provides all basic facilities for a smooth academic functioning of IIIT Surat. The facilities include well-equipped classrooms, state-of-the-art library, healthcare facilities, banks and post office services, sports fields for students’ extra-curricular activities etc.
The campus of SVNIT offers excellent residential facilities within the campus premises to all its students. These facilities are also extended to the students of IIIT Surat. The various hostels at the temporary campus of IIIT Surat are named as follows:
