Nowadays, along with the rising demand for coaching institutes, there is also a hike in the coaching fee. Therefore, scholarships support the students, who are financially underprivileged, in reaching their desired path. With time, JEE and NEET have become the most sought-after examinations for preparation nationwide. Recently, Haryana Government has undertaken some schemes that will benefit the deprived and underprivileged section of the society. This will provide relief to the worthy but disadvantaged students, who dream of becoming engineers and doctors. This initiative will open a bright path for them in order to accomplish their goals.
Super-100 Scheme in Haryana (2019-2020)
Haryana Government is soon to launch Super-100 Program to provide JEE and NEET preparations for free by selecting 225 meritorious students from government schools, who have passed the 10th standard. This initiative will work towards a secure future for the deserving students deprived of resources. An examination would be conducted by the Haryana Government as a way of the selection process. The government will also provide monetary aid to manage their living. The government will be assigning a budget of 1 crore for the implementation of scheme.
Super-100 program, managed by Haryana School Education Department, is for the students with more than 85% percentage in high-school. Top 225 students who pass the examination can avail coaching for the preparation of JEE and NEET for 2 years. 125 students out of 225 will be admitted to a government school in Rewari to get education in 11th and 12th along with coaching. The remaining 100 students will get admission in Karnal School.
Free Coaching for Higher/Competitive Exams for students of SC and Backward Classes (2018)
The scheme aims to offer a coaching of fine quality for economically deprived Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) aspirants that will further help them in the competitive examinations. It provides coaching for the examinations including, All India Civil Services, HCS, bank PO etc. and IIT JEE/ NEET. The scheme was decided to be empaneled for 2 years, but can be extended by one more year on the basis of the outcomes.
The courses for which the coaching will be imparted are:
- Group A and B examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
- Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
- Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs)
- Group A and B examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commissions
- Officers’ Grade examinations conducted by Banks
- Insurance Companies and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
- Entrance Examinations for admission in
(a) engineering (IIT JEE), (b) medical (NEET),
(c) professional courses like management (e.g. CAT) and law (e.g. CLAT)
- Eligibility tests like SAT, GRE, GMAT and TOEFL.
