IIT Gandhinagar offers admission to non-degree and part-time non-degree programs. Students currently enrolled in any recognized university of India or abroad can seek admission to the non-degree programs. Admission to these courses are for both semesters, Semester I (August – September) and Semester II (January – April). Through these programs, the student can complete a semester of his/her academic discipline in IITGN. These students can conduct research or take course for credits during their session in IITGN. The aim of the program is to move IITs towards “inclusivity and transparency”. The students also receive a certificate at the completion of their course at IITGN.
Criteria for admission to Non-degree Programs:
Students of any recognized university, sponsored by the university can apply for admission to non-degree programs in IITGN.
Criteria for admission to Part-time Non-degree programs:
Students who have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science or Humanities are eligible for admission to part-time non-degree courses offered by IITGN.
